North Saanich Online is a non-profit community newsletter and blog site published by residents interested in the well-being of North Saanich.. North Saanich Online grew out of a concern that many issues in the municipality up to and including the time of the last election where presented in the Peninsula News Review in a one sided manner and as such we believe that local media does not present a balanced view of the concerns of the majority of residents in North Saanich. We hope to provide that balance!
Our purpose is to provide a range of information about North Saanich , community issues, events, agriculture, culture and heritage.
The values we support are :
* A dedication to preserve the rural character of North Saanich, in accordance with the Official Community Plan (OCP) and the Regional Growth Strategy (RGS) of the Capital Regional District.
* Fiscal responsibility of our council, particularly in these uncertain economic times.
* Open and transparent governance.
